My name is Ella Worsdale and I am a Head of Information for the NHS. I have been working for the NHS for over 15 years and I am really passionate about using data to improve services and ultimately patient care. One of the biggest shifts in my career was discovering Tableau and subsequently implementing it across Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. It’s been over 5 years now since I started using Tableau and it has without doubt changed my working life. Finding a solution that can really add value in the NHS is truly motivating.
In 2018 I won the first Future Digital Health Leader Award at the Digital Health Awards. I still can’t quite believe I was nominated nevermind won, it was so amazing to be recognised in such a way. It was both motivating and humbling.
I am currently a Tableau User Group Ambassador and extremely passionate about supporting others with their Tableau journey. It is a great honour to be given this responsibility. I am the co-leader of the Northwest Tableau User Group (#NWTUG) and the UK Healthcare Tableau user group (#UKHealthTUG). I love being part of these groups and love bringing fellow Tableau enthusiasts together through these forums.
In October 2019 I was awarded the Tableau Community Founders award and was given the opportunity to attend the Tableau Conference in Las Vegas in the November. I still have to pinch myself that this actually happened! The conference was epic!
I live in the Peak District with my partner and two young boys. I love being a mum, and challenge myself everyday to make sure I have a good worklife balance! I am also currently working towards my ILM Level 5 Qualification in Coaching and Mentoring as I was really keen to develop these important skills so that I could enhance my leadership style and behaviour and help others achieve their potential.
I decided that 2019 was the year I would starting blogging, so here I am blogging. I hope you enjoy my blogs!
